Welcome to Royal’s refreshed website.  We are driven to constantly monitor, evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the services we offer our clients and part of that is the importance to keep all media offerings fresh and up-to-date.

The reasons for the refresh are twofold. Firstly, it is to introduce coding, language and software aimed to take full advantage of new communication technologies now available such as that of tablet style electronic devices.  Secondly, it fuses together the Royal Aero brand with the powerful imagery that Royal is recognised for, which it has developed over the last three years.

Royal Aero’s technical division is delighted to announce that, on the 6th June it was awarded the contract to provide comprehensive powerplant management services to the Philippine based operator, Cebu Pacific.  Cebu entered the domestic market back in early 1996 and, following its growing success ventured into the international market in November 2001. 

Their fleet comprises 20 narrow body Airbus.

Royal is responsible for assessing the financial and technical positioning of North American Airlines entire fleet.  This helps ensure that North American Airlines is suitably informed, equipped and prepared to meet the operational challenges and demands that present themselves and enables them to make prompt clear and decisive decisions regarding all powerplant management issues.

In addition to the day to day management of its fleet, last year Royal was instructed to carry out a number of engine lease reviews for North American Airlines.  This included 11x RB211-535′s and 5x CF6-80C2′s.  These reviews were performed promptly, enabling the successful lease of a number of engines, short-term, thereby protecting North American Airlines’ ongoing operation.

The speed and detail of Royal’s performance of the reviews was highly praised by North American Airlines’ senior management team.  Royal also demonstrated its flexibility, travelling to multiple sites to support on-site reviews at short notice.

Following the success of this project Royal has been instructed to perform an on-site fleet wide audit of all powerplant related technical documentation.  This project is expected to commence in the 1st Quarter of 2010.

PR09 – NAA

At the start of 2008, Royal Aero entered into agreement with Wind Jet to provide the airline with engine management services for both CFM56-5A and V2500 engine types.

Since commencement, Wind Jet has enjoyed, in excess of US$1.4m, savings directly resulting from Royal’s technical acumen, mixed with its proficiency and knowledge in contractual, financial and commercial matters.

To date, Royal has successfully managed engine rework projects for the airline
through a number of different facilities including European MRO’s, MTU and
Snecma, as well as further flung MRO’s such as IHI, Japan. Royal has also
provided valuable warranty and insurance claims support and the relationship
between both companies continues to grow stronger with every project.

PR09 – Wind Jet

In April ’08 Royal Aero announced its success in being awarded the contract to act as the technical guardian of Iberia’s CFM56-5C4 fleet while they were off-wing undergoing repair.

Royal has since successfully completed the management of 10 x CFM56-5C4 engines as they passed through SRT’s Zurich maintenance facility in 2008 and 2009.

Royal was responsible for full shop visit management services and included
the attendance of table inspections and the carrying out of scrap and invoice
reviews. Iberia relied on Royal to liaise with SRT on their behalf, and to help
ensure that the program was controlled effectively and that technical and
financial variances were promptly assessed, understood and dealt with clearly
and decisively.

As a direct result of Royal’s management, Iberia was delighted to realise
US$1.2m savings from workscope amendments alone.

In addition, Royal was able to secure approximately US$450k in cost recovery
exercises and is awaiting the outcome of submitted warranty claims; their
immediate worth estimated to be US$700k and with an, as yet, unquantifiable
ongoing accumulative value.

Royal thanks Iberia for this opportunity to support its operation and is looking
forward to the prospect of future projects.

PR09 – Iberia

“Royal Aero Leasing GmbH, a division of Royal Aero Group GmbH, has launched a publicly subscribed aircraft engine lease fund with LHI Leasing GmbH, Munich.

The “Royal Aero I GmbH” fund will have an initial value of USD 35m which enables Royal Aero Leasing GmbH to expand it’s existing engine lease pool.

Royal Aero Leasing manages a pool of powerplants on both mid and long-term leases.

The pool consists of a mixture of owned and managed powerplants and it boasts a collection of assets produced by the major manufacturers including CFMI, GE, IAE, P&W, RR & Honeywell.

Royal provides operating leases, including sale/leaseback, as well as long term finance options.

PR08 – Fund I

Royal is proud that North American Airlines is one of its longest standing clients.
North American Airlines is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Global Aviation Holdings Inc, and its business is to provide ‘exceptional air transportation services’ throughout the world. With a fleet of 5x B767 and 5x B757 aircraft, it provides worldwide charter operations for clients such as:

• White House Travel Office / Press Corp
• Presidential Campaigns
• Emergency Relief / Rescue Operations
• U.S. Department of Defense (Air Mobility Command)
• U.S. Department of State
• U.S. Department of Homeland Security
• Canadian National Defense & Canadian Forces (CND/CF)
• British Ministry of Defense

For approximately five years now, Royal has been responsible for all of the airlines’ off-wing engine management needs using its unique combination of ability, tools and dedication to ensure that North American Airlines is in a position to make informed judgments that are critical to their future, no matter what the scenario may be.

PR08 – NAA

Due to its ongoing success, Iberia has appointed Royal Aero Technical as its technical guardian for the engine shop visit management program of twelve of its own CFM56-5C4’s, which are due to be repaired by SRT over the coming year.

Iberia Group includes both one of Europe’s largest airlines operating approximately one hundred and fifty aircraft and the World’s ninth largest maintenance provider, experienced in engine, airframe and component maintenance. It provides support for a large number of 3rd Party clients as well as its own fleet of B727, B747, B757, A319, A320, A321, A340 and MD80 aircraft types.

Royal Aero Technical is delighted to have the opportunity to work in partnership with Iberia on this project.

PR08 – Iberia

Wind jet, the Catania based operator, ranked 4th in Italy for providing scheduled and charter passenger services both to national and continental destinations, has signed an agreement with Royal Aero Technical for engine management services for their CFM56-5A fleet.

Royal Aero is focused on providing Wind Jet with the best possible financial, technical and commercial outcome for present and future inputs.

PR08 – Wind Jet

Royal Aero Technical has been awarded the contract to provide a complete off wing engine management program for Virgin Nigeria, both for its current fleet of CFM56-3C-1 powered 737-300’s and its, soon to arrive,  CF34 powered EMB170(AR) and EMB190(AR).

Royal Aero’s goal is to help Virgin Nigeria deliver on its promise “to create the
best airline, not just in Nigeria but the best in Africa”.

Virgin Nigeria was launched on 28th June 2005. It is part of the Virgin Group
and is 49% owned by Virgin Atlantic.
