A privately owned international aviation trading and service provider. One of the largest independent European based suppliers of surplus commercial engine parts and technical consultancy services to the aviation industry; an engine lessor and a lessor of aircraft approaching commercial retirement.
Royal Aero is an aircraft and engine leasing firm with a focus on the acquisition and disposition of mid-life to end-of-life aircraft and engines, providing a full suite of innovative and flexible support solutions to airlines, lessors and financial owners for both engines and entire aircraft, including short term leases, long term leases, sale and lease backs, and fleet phase out, as well as fleet support and planning assistance.
Royal Aero’s engine leasing and exchange programs provide owners with balance sheet and capital management solutions, and Royal Aero’s fleet management solutions provide flexibility to an owner when aircraft and engine disposal is a priority and a fleet is designated to be phased out and new aircraft begin to deliver.
As an airline plans to downsize its fleet, Royal Aero purchases aircraft and engines that are surplus to the owners needs. Royal Aero has broad experience removing aircraft from operators in a manner that minimizes frustration and time for all parties as a result of Royal’s extensive knowledge of the aftermarket and the requirements therein, allowing for smooth handovers. Solutions involve outright purchase of assets immediately available for disposal or forward purchases where Royal Aero agrees to purchase assets in a given condition on a given date. A forward purchase provides the owners assurance that the aircraft will leave the fleet as soon as new aircraft are indoctrinated, eliminating any overlap in coverage and minimizing extra costs of fleet transitioning
Royal Aero’s aircraft leasing solutions provide operating leases of aircraft to commercial and freight operators around the globe. Assets are sourced through a variety of channels, and we offer both short-term and long-term leasing products. Whether we are originating a creative lease solution or acquiring aircraft already on lease, we target opportunities that can benefit both the operator as well as provide attractive investment returns for our investors.
SLB’s free up an owner’s capital that was previously tied up in older aviation assets, allowing them to fund other aspects of their business. As the aircraft coming out of the airline will generally be mid-life or older in nature, either through retirement or fleet transitions, Royal Aero’s flexibility provides the owners with a perfect phase out solution that has redelivery dates matching new aircraft deliveries with tailored return conditions and no onerous contractual obligations.
Royal Aero provides flexible engine leasing solutions to the market. In the case where an engine is needed for a short period to cover an unscheduled removal or similar instance, an engine lease is the best course of action. Royal Aero can provide lease engines to cover these needs, which also minimizes aircraft downtime and saves millions versus an unneeded and expensive engine shop visit. Medium to longer term leases are also available to suit the customer’s specific needs. With conservation of capital and efficient engine fleet management as a top priority, engine leases provide this flexibility, with zero residual value risk.
The Royal Aero Parts Trading department is a multicultural and multilingual team focused on the procurement and sale of engine parts for the PW4000, CF6, CFM56, V2500 and GE90 product lines.
With contacts on every continent and key relationships with the shops, operators and vendors, Royal Aero is ideally placed to continue supporting the airline industry for many years to come.
Royal Aero maintains a large inventory of material across all engine types to satisfy customer demand. The material is acquired from the acquisition and teardown of whole engines to the piece part level or, as required, from our suppliers.
Royal Aero are proud to consider themselves a “recycling” company, helping the aviation industry get the most out of their sunset fleets, via the USM market, for as long as possible, avoiding the production of new material at the expense of the environment.
We support Airlines and Maintenance and Repair Organisations (MROs) via sales of material to support engine overhaul programs and forward positioning of key items to keep aircraft flying that are AOG.
Royal Aero’s Repair Team handles worldwide repair of parts and components on several levels. We also have access to our own in-house engineering team to assist in assessing technical issues and repair investments.
We have agreements in place with most repair shops, and we cover almost every large commercial aircraft, focussing on engines and engine accessories but with the ability to handle every aircraft system for repair due to our engineering expertise.

Repair and management of customer consigned inventory to maximise the return for the customer.
